Blog Post Title One

II mean, it's tough the steer truly seasonal when the flowers start dying off and they're not longer so ‘pretty’. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of winter foliages, the seed heads and of course the gestures and gnarly knots of all the branches and twigs as we deepen into Autumn.

But what does that mean for us? How do we continue to collaborate with brands, couples and clients if the flowers aren't as abundant as usual.

This, dear readers (maybe I'll lose the ‘dear reader’for future reference, it's a bit Bridgerton) is what we created for the hanging install at a private members club in Soho for their middle eastern roof top bar. As the close the outdoor part of the bar for the winter months, we install usually hanging floral installs over the bar itself. This year, however, we really let our imaginations fly- using the ‘souk’ as the theme.

Knotted raffia, draped silk, bunched organza, folded thread, woven wool and clustered rosehip amassed each four of the hoops. ‘Sisters, not Twins’, as we say in the trafe- each to feel like their part of the same family, but not to be identical. We spent a day, trying, sewing, threading, pinning and attaching the fabrics and materials to the bespoke hoops that has been made to create this wonderland.

Okay, well it's not really ‘autumnal’ but it's happening in October. I should really say ‘sexy shoot’, but I am so far from sect right now that even though the flowers will be luxurious, romantic and really quite sexy… I am more like a slug.

I am so happy to be collaborating with wedding planner extraordinaire Always Andri (click link below) on her upcoming shoot. A delectable sumptuous rouge and velvety wedding shoot- think after the ceremony, when the reception gets.. well, hot.

I've sources from no less than 6 growers, wonderful chrysanthemums, cyclamen and possibly speziale tulips. And hoping to create a really gorgeous few key pieces for a fireplace mantle, the table scape and a draped edge of the dining tables- watch this space as they say.

Always Andri

All these images were taken from growers who sent me images of their stock and stems.

I think that's enough for my first BLOG. Maybe I'll actually keep this up. Would be quite nice to have a weekly or bi - weekly post/ blog etc. Like Anna Jones or Daisy from The SelfHood… you never know x
